How we protect data
Consent before any check
Candidates sign a consent request before a background check begins, and their data is used only for the checks they agreed to.
Data rights
People can request an export or erasure of their personal data, in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019.

Role-based permissions with optional per-job scopes, SAML single sign-on, and multi-factor authentication for every user.
Money safeguards
Salary payouts need a second login check on the web, and payments never move over WhatsApp.

How does Cazini handle consent for background checks?+
No background check starts until the candidate has consented. Cazini emails the candidate a consent request, and they sign it in a secure portal before any of their data is checked.
Can candidates and employees get their data deleted?+
Yes. Under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, people can ask Cazini to export or erase their personal data. Email info@cazini.co.ke to make a request.
Who can see employee and candidate data?+
Only the people your organisation grants access to. Cazini uses role-based access control, with optional per-job scopes for team members, so each person sees only what their role allows.
How is money protected on Cazini?+
Releasing salary payouts always requires a second login check (multi-factor step-up) on the web. Money never moves over WhatsApp.
