About the Job
The National Coordinator and Business Developer is a high-impact, dual-responsibility leadership role focused on driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and countrywide expansion within the soft-skills training sector. The successful candidate will spearhead the rollout of specialized training programs, establish critical institutional partnerships, and ensure full operational, legal, and regulatory compliance. This role requires a strategic thinker who is equally comfortable driving revenue and managing ground-level operations to launch and scale programs successfully.
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Growth
- Drive revenue generation and business growth within the soft-skills training industry.
- Analyze market trends to continuously adapt and align soft-skills programs to meet evolving industry needs.
- Execute and advance organizational objectives under the core guidelines of the 2025/30 Strategic Plan.
- Operations, Compliance & Legal Setup
- Oversee the complete legal and operational setup of the training function in new jurisdictions.
- Recruit, onboard, and manage local staff and delivery teams.
- Coordinate logistics, including securing premium training venues and operational resources.
- Ensure absolute compliance with all local statutory regulations, specifically focusing on Rwandan tax and labor compliance.
- Strategic Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build, nurture, and maintain high-level strategic ties with key institutional bodies, including:
- RDB (Rwanda Development Board)
- RRA (Rwanda Revenue Authority)
- PSF (Private Sector Federation)
- Relevant government Ministries across key socio-economic sectors.
- Position the organization as a preferred training partner for public and private enterprise capacity-building initiatives.
- Marketing, Localization & Program Launch
- Lead the upcoming Kigali launch as the primary springboard to scale training solutions countrywide.
- Supervise the localization of course modules to ensure contextual relevance for the target market.
- Design and run targeted marketing and social media campaigns to drive program visibility and enrollment.
- M&E, Administration & Governance
- Track, evaluate, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success and operational efficiency.
- Provide strong administrative leadership, managing daily staff activities and performance.
- Lead team and board meetings, ensuring clear documentation, transparency, and regular progress reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Development Studies, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years in senior-level program coordination or business development roles.
- Proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders locally and nationally.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering results within budgets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with a strategic mindset.
