About the Job
The Operations manager is responsible for transforming BluRok Africa’s strategic vision into organized, accountable, and executable operational momentum across all business divisions.
This role exists to create:
operational rhythm;
execution consistency;
accountability enforcement;
project coordination;
and cross-functional alignment across the organization.
The role serves as the primary bridge between:
leadership vision;
operational execution;
growth teams;
infrastructure teams;
delivery functions;
and internal coordination.
The Operations manager ensures that:
priorities remain clear;
execution remains consistent;
teams remain aligned;
blockers are resolved quickly;
and operational momentum is maintained across the company.
This is a high-accountability operational leadership role designed for a highly organized, execution-focused operator capable of bringing structure, discipline, and follow-through to a fast-moving technology and infrastructure business.

This role is responsible for:

Responsibilities
- A. Operational Coordination & Execution Management
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate execution across:
- Growth & Business Development;
- Infrastructure & Operations;
- Delivery & Projects;
- Engineering;
- Customer Operations;
- and related operational teams.
- Execution Tracking
- Ensure strategic priorities, projects, and operational initiatives are:
- clearly assigned;
- properly tracked;
- actively followed up;
- and completed within agreed timelines.
- Accountability Enforcement
- Drive operational accountability through:
- structured follow-ups;
- task tracking;
- operational reviews;
- escalation management;
- and execution monitoring.
- Priority Management
- Maintain visibility into:
- active projects;
- strategic priorities;
- operational risks;
- deadlines;
- and execution bottlenecks.
- B. Project Management & Delivery Coordination
- Operational Project Oversight
- Coordinate company-wide operational and infrastructure projects including:
- deployments;
- customer onboarding;
- operational rollouts;
- process improvements;
- and strategic implementation initiatives.
- Project Rhythm
- Establish and maintain:
- operational cadence;
- project review cycles;
- delivery check-ins;
- and structured execution rhythms across teams.
- Blocker Resolution
- Identify and aggressively follow up on:
- execution bottlenecks;
- communication gaps;
- resource conflicts;
- and operational risks affecting delivery.
- Timeline Management
- Ensure projects maintain:
- realistic timelines;
- operational visibility;
- stakeholder alignment;
- and execution consistency.
- C. Executive Operations Support
- Leadership Alignment
- Work closely with the Founder & CEO to:
- align operational execution with strategic direction;
- maintain visibility into company-wide progress;
- and translate high-level priorities into executable operational actions.
- Meeting Management
- Coordinate and drive:
- leadership meetings;
- operational reviews;
- execution syncs;
- and strategic planning sessions.
- Decision Follow-Through
- Ensure leadership decisions are:
- communicated clearly;
- operationalized effectively;
- assigned appropriately;
- and followed through consistently.
- D. Operational Systems & Process Discipline
- Operational Visibility
- Maintain operational visibility across:
- projects;
- delivery pipelines;
- customer onboarding;
- infrastructure rollouts;
- and internal execution workflows.
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to:
- improve operational efficiency;
- reduce execution friction;
- improve communication;
- and strengthen accountability systems.
- Documentation & Operational Discipline
- Ensure:
- operational records;
- meeting notes;
- execution plans;
- SOPs;
- and tracking systems
- remain accurate, organized, and actionable.
- E. Commercial & Operational Alignment
- Revenue Execution Coordination
- Work closely with growth and delivery teams to ensure:
- commercial commitments remain operationally achievable;
- onboarding remains coordinated;
- and customer expectations remain aligned.
- Operational Capacity Awareness
- Maintain awareness of:
- operational bandwidth;
- staffing pressures;
- deployment load;
- and execution capacity.
- Escalation Coordination
- Act quickly when operational issues threaten:
- delivery timelines;
- customer experience;
- infrastructure stability;
- or business momentum.
- F. Reporting, Accountability & Operational Discipline
- Operational Reporting
- Provide structured operational reporting covering:
- project progress;
- execution risks;
- blockers;
- accountability gaps;
- delivery status;
- and operational recommendations.
- Execution Discipline
- Ensure:
- tasks are followed through;
- teams remain accountable;
- meetings produce actionable outcomes;
- and operational momentum remains visible.
- Responsiveness
- High responsiveness, communication clarity, and follow-through are essential in this role.
Qualifications
- 4–8 years experience in:
- operations management;
- project coordination;
- delivery management;
- technology operations;
- infrastructure environments;
- MSP/ISP environments;
- or fast-moving operational businesses.
